Doom 2 Hell on Earth

Description

A second attempt at a doom 2 picture. I got much closer to what I was trying to achieve with this than the other.

So basically, while I went to see it in cinemas and brought it on DVD, as much as I tried, I just couldn't really like the DOOM movie. My main gripe was the whole "lets make them genetic mutations rather than demons" thing. But it wasn't the only thing. So not long after I watched it, I came up with this idea for the sequel.

Basically having nothing to do with the first one other than maybe a brief mention, or even perhaps Carl Urban again (sorry, cant hate a brother, even for DOOM. he's a fellow NZ'r...) as the protagonist. It would make sense now he's all super human and going toe to toe with the monsters from doom would make quick work of everyone else. And having all the doom monsters invading an unnamed city on earth.

The plot? not real one apart from the main character just trying to survive. I think a movie like this would suffer if they tried to hard to insert a plot. Doom was always about survival and endurance, and bloody visceral combat. but who knows, Perhaps it HAS to have a plot with our main guy falling for an arch vile while rescuing his mutant babies from the evil corporations. I dont know, Im not bloody Steven Spielberg! anyway...

Now, seeing as on paper that sounds like a shit idea, I thought Id fucking draw it. So here it is.

Enjoy!

PS: Note the flock of Cakkies (caccodemons) in the top left. Honestly does anyone NOT love the cakkie? How I would love having one as a pet... CAKKIES!!!

I made a Steam Banner for Doom II using your awesome art.

I color corrected it a bit to feel a bit more like Doom.

Thanks for the great art!
